My girlfriend and I met him almost 3 years ago at a Vonnegut event on Governors Island in NYC. After talking for a bit, a bunch of us had a lovely discussion, he was like, "mind if I play a song played?" We were like, "sure!" He then pulled a guitar out of nowhere and started playing a mad funny song about Dr Gachet ( after some googling we later found the Rod MacDonald song on Youtube -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VS0PbVaQyT4 )
This was earlier on in our relationship and this unique moment really stands out for us. A few months back, I got really into mail art and when we saw some of his mail art at a show at SF MOMA, we were so happy to have this guy just pop back into our lives! And now this! What a lovely character! Big fan :D
